讲座题目:从微观到宏观：概率论与偏微分方程

内容摘要：A host of diverse phenomena, such as ecological systems, population dynamics, chemical reactions, super-conductivity, quantum dynamics and fluid dynamics, can be modelled by interacting particle systems. A principal theme in investigating these phenomena is to connect the microscopic mechanisms of the systems with the collective behaviors that emerge in the macroscopic scale under suitable space-time scaling. The mathematical theory for the connections is through the hydrodynamic limits (described by PDEs) and the fluctuation limits (described by stochastic PDEs). In this talk, I will present a brief survey and illustrate these fascinating connections through two concrete models: heat propagations in Euclidean space as well as in rooms, and the transports of positive and negative charges in solar cells.

主讲人简介：陈振庆, 美国华盛顿大学(西雅图)数学系终身教授，于圣路易斯的华盛顿大学获得博士学位，教育部“知名学者奖励计划”讲座教授，2007年和2014年分别当选为国际数理统计学会会士和美国数学学会会士，2019年获伯努利国际概率统计学会的伊藤奖。陈振庆教授是国际知名概率论学者。在包括国际顶尖数学和概率期刊《欧洲数学学会杂志》(Journal of the European Mathematical Society)、《概率年刊》(Annals of Probability)、《概率论及其相关领域》(Probability Theory and Related Fields)等学术期上发表论文200余篇，著有两本专著。被列为全球Top 2%顶尖科学家。从2016年起任国际数学综合性期刊《位势理论》的主编及多个国际数学和概率期刊的编委。
